Employment Opportunity: Engagement Lead
Sefa is looking for an Engagement Lead to play a key role in supporting the Head of Engagement driving cross sector business and product development and delivery. The Head of Engagement is responsible for leading Sefa’s professional service offering and for building partnerships to strengthen Australia’s for-purpose financial ecosystem.
This role will include identifying opportunities for, leading and supporting the delivery of Sefa’s fee-for-service offering, ranging from investment readiness and due diligence to bespoke funding and capability building programs in collaboration with partners.

The Engagement Lead will work as part of a small, passionate and high performing team to support business development, pitching and service delivery, to help build and maintain:
· A robust and profitable pipeline of fee-for-service engagements
· A strategic portfolio of bespoke funding opportunities with social impact at their centre
· An engaged stakeholder group including partners (clients, investors, stakeholders) who integrate with the strategic activities of the Sefa group.

Sefa operates a flexible work environment. This is a part-time role, initially for a 12-month contract. There is flexibility in our working arrangements, including working from home and the potential to join the Engagement team permanently if the business continues to grow. The Sefa team enjoys five weeks of paid leave to recharge.
You will:
· Lead, contribute to and assist in the delivery of advisory engagements, with a focus on capability building for organisational strengthening and resilience, investment readiness, due diligence, capital structuring, capital raising support, payment-by-outcome tenders and bespoke funding solutions
· Support the Head of Engagement in delivering on strategically important initiatives and building relationships with key stakeholders and partners
· Continuing to build a culture where how we do what we do is as important as what we do
· Augment business development efforts to reinforce Sefa’s unique positioning in the for-purpose ecosystem
· Support Sefa’s fee-for-service advisory offering, including developing long-term partnerships and programs
· Conduct research and engage in market sounding on new trends, gaps and opportunities
· Work with Sefa Partnerships on joint projects and proposals, with a focus on blended finance and capacity building
You have:
· Experience working in client facing roles and leading project teams
· Passion, energy, commitment and experience working in the impact investing / social finance / social enterprise / for- purpose sectors
· Experience with tools and frameworks that are widely used in the for-purpose sector, including theory of change, outcomes measurement and management frameworks.
· Ability to multi-task and contribute to multiple projects at any one time
· Relationship building skills with a focus on patience and resilience given the nature of the evolving impact investment and for-purpose sector in Australia
· Highly developed analytical skills, e.g. around financial analysis and/or investment assessments
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences and levels of technical expertise
· Proficiency in business language and ability to develop compelling proposals and deliver succinct and insightful reports
· Highly developed MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, including exceptional attention to detail, and experience writing high quality reports and presentations.

· Existing network in the for purpose/social impact sector
· Understanding of the policy development cycle and government procurement
· Flexibility, patience and tenacity
