Sefa appointed by NSW Government to provide no-cost advisory services to not-for-profits

Sefa has been engaged by the NSW Government to provide consultancy and advisory services to health and social service organisations as part of the Social Sector Transformation Fund. The Fund assists organisations to improve outcomes in homelessness, disability, health, and child and family services.

Eligible not-for-profit organisations can access consultancy or advisory services, at no cost, from a panel of seven different providers. Services will support business improvements, capacity building, and general IT capability so that these vital organisations can operate in a way that is efficient, effective, and viable. Sefa has been appointed to provide governance and strategy advisory services (in partnership with Social Impact Hub)  as well as providing support to organisations that are interested in evaluation of their services and delivery models.

Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services Alister Henskens said the NSW Government’s Social Sector Transformation Fund was delivering a $50 million boost to not-for-profits during the pandemic.

“These organisations are working around the clock during this incredibly challenging time to keep some of our community’s most vulnerable people safe,” Mr Henskens said.

“This funding will support organisations to improve how they do business by giving them access to better technology, free legal services, workforce development opportunities and resources to strengthen governance and strategy.”

Sefa is thrilled to play a role in this transformational investment and welcomes enquiries from eligible organisations that are keen to explore the breadth of services that can be accessed at no cost from across the panel of providers.
